Reasons To Retire By 30
Mon, Sep 14, 2009

How can one retire by the age of 30? Doesn’t retirement mean a ripe old age of 60? These questions are posed when you tell someone to retire at the age of 30. I don’t see any reason why one cannot or one shouldn’t retire by 30. We work hard throughout our lives, put in a lot of effort to earn and save money for our future, but, is life predictable? No one knows how long we will survive. So one should look to retire as early as possible.
Why? Because you don’t have to wake up early in the morning for the office grind, you don’t have to deal with people you don’t want to deal with each and everyday, you can set your own agenda, you can go for a vacation to the Bahamas anytime you like during the year, you an spend more time with your children and you can go as wild as possible, without thinking that there is an upcoming project deadline. The list doesn’t end here because there are endless reasons to early retirement.
If people retire at such early stages of their life how will they afford their expenses if they live for another thirty forty years? Well, nothing is impossible. If you start earning big bucks in your mid twenties then why shouldn’t your retire at 30? But how many people actually retire at this age. I guess, a small percentage of people. I have come to the conclusion that if you put in a little bit of effort in figuring out the best ways of earning money then retiring at 30 is not difficult at all, while continuing to make serious cash online during your retirement.
The best thing is not to have any debt except, perhaps a mortgage, save more and spend less today, invest in bonds, stocks and mutual funds for long term returns and long term investment.
